Gary Stempien Receives Fitness Industry Distinguished Service Award

(March 8, 2008) -- Health club industry entrepreneur and fitness innovator Gary Stempien has been awarded a Distinguished Service Award from Club Marketing & Management Services Inc. (CMS), a worldwide consulting firm for the fitness industry. The award was in honor of Mr. Stempien's 35 years of commitment and service in the health and fitness industry.

CMS is an international health club consulting company that provides the latest information on the health club and fitness industry. CMS offers consulting, training, education and marketing services to health clubs worldwide.

Mr. Stempien received his award from fitness industry leader Mike Chaet, the founder of CMS, during the International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association's (IHRSA) 27th Annual International Convention & Trade Show held in San Diego, California, where twelve thousand fitness-industry leaders convened from 70 countries. Over 400 exhibits displayed the world's newest workouts and equipment in nearly 30 categories of health and fitness equipment, products and programs. Nearly 200 educational and networking sessions featured such speakers as Bob Woodruff, Kjell Nordstom, Dick Vitale, and Martina Navratilova.

The founder, owner and operator of several health clubs, Mr. Stempien has spent over three decades in the field of fitness, strength training and exercise. He currently owns and operates the Nautilus Fitness Center in northern Michigan and was the founder and operator of a chain of eight health clubs located in the Detroit, Michigan, metropolitan area, which serviced over 10,000 members.

Mr. Stempien is also the creator of the G.S. 20 Express Workout™ system, a state-of-the-art fitness training system that is unique in the industry and which is being marketed globally as a turn-key licensing program available to existing and new health clubs, gyms and fitness centers.
